no steps in the right direction... sort of
today i didn't eat right and barely exercised. But i did eat better than I have been. So tomorrow better food. I did walk to the store to get some stuff for dinner (about two blocks) so it's a start now a few thousand blocks to go.
There seems to be some confusion in Facebook world about our goals. We just want to complete the marathon. We are thinking between a 15 minute and 12 minute mile pace. I'll keep people up to date on that. We aren't looking to be competative just complete it.
After my exams this week I will put up starting stats (height weight measurements) and pictures (promise not to show skin).
Ok time for bed. See you guys tomorrow.

Welcome
On October 25, 2009, my wife and I were in Washington DC for a little weekend vacation and it happened to be the Marine Corps Marathon. 26.2 miles of pavement pounding by thousands of men and women. Standing on the west side of the Capitol building watching everyone make their way through miles 19 I got inspired. Two years from today, my wife and I are going to complete the Marine Corps Marathon. We have a two part plan. For the first year we are going to lose approximately 100 pounds each as well as exercise to start training for the race. The main focus of the first year is going to be weight loss and the main focus of the second year is going to be training to complete the marathon.
